How to avoid constipation
Constipation is the condition of an infrequent and difficult bowel movement and the factors causing this condition include diet,lack of exercise, too frequent laxative use, stress of work and at times due to a person denying or delaying the call of nature.

If you pass less than three stools a week and that the stools are hard and dry, then you have constipation. This is not just a troublesome but a situation that can be detrimental to your health. Constipation affects millions of people worldwide and if it is left unaddressed, will lead to further health repercussions.
Why does constipation happen ? Among the common causes are, insufficient fluid intake, insufficient fiber in the diet, abuse of laxatives, lack of exercise or physical body activity aopart fro the episode of an illness, pregnance and intake of certain medications. When the passage of waste is delayed, the body acts to absorb the fluid content in the faeces including the soluble toxins ! The results of this episode in a person are as follows:
a) the tongue becomes coated b) energy becomes depleted
c) bad breath and body odor d) mental dullness
Constipation has been associated with appendicitis, diverticulitis and colon cancer and it is on this premise that you have to take appropriate actions to regulate the bowel movement. Try to make it a habit to have at least a daily bowel emptying to maintain an optimum health being. Do not make it a habit to use laxatives to initiate bowel emptying as it will lead to resistance of the intestine to further stimulation.
You
can overcome constipation by taking the following actions:
1) Take plenty of unrefined fiber diet. This would include vegetables, fruits, whole grains and beans.
2) Increase your fluid intake to soften the stool.
3) Exercise will help to stimulate the intestinal activity.
4) Avoid sugar consumption.
5) Take supplements including:
a) A tablet of a multi vitamins and minerals once daily
b) Vitamin C 1000 mg twice daily
c) Psyllium seeds or husks which is a bulk laxative and lubricant: 2 sachets daily
